A blog is like talking to yourself…and you never know how many people are eavesdropping. Personally, I have a sort of mime blog – I signed up but never write in it.
As to your hypothetical, I think Douglas Adams, Ben Franklin, Ogden Nash, Edgar Allan Poe and Dorothy Parker would have made very interesting bloggers. As well as a few from other fields such as Albert Einstein, Mozart, and John Lennon.
